Proudly flying the English Flag..Thats if they let us
April 23, 2008Yet again another rant seems like endless rants but College is really doing my head in at the moment. So its the 23rd of April (writing in 24th now) and its St Georges Day so of course England is celebrating by flying its flags and colours. But not at college no, people had their flags taken off them as they deemed it ‘racist’. Im sorry but how is carrying around a Flag of OUR country ENGLAND racist? The College and Government are seriously messed up, Asians etc can get days off work to go to marches to show off their cultures, celebrate all different things yet for one day in the year ENGLISH people cannot fly their OWN flag? That is fucking ridiculous.
Apart from that the day was really good.. Finished media after 30 minutes when we hit the pub for St G’s day kareoke !!! Me, Danny and Pugh sang Bohemian Rapsody and All these things that Ive done. Was really good fun

i agree it’s a disgrace that the english people cannot celebrate their day with flags but Muslims get days off for festivals such as Ede and Hindu’s are the same with Davali (i think!)
i bet that if Irish people came in on St. Patricks day with an irish flag nothing would be done, or the same for Wlesh/Scottish with St. David/Andrew. But of course, it’s only us English who have to be “british.” Well, i’ve got news for ya, im not british, i’m English and proud so fuck being british and fuck these stupid politically correct and normally european views.
